Class 6 D-Style
The Class 6 D-Style SmartMotor, with its extended power range (up to 1 kW) in the same compact package of the Class 5 series, provides improved torque density to increase performance without affecting the overall design of the machine. These enhanced capabilities are combined with Industrial Ethernet connectivity, a “battery-less” multi-turn absolute encoder that ensures no position loss if power is dropped, along with precise motion control, enabling extreme design flexibility for any application.Open series

Class 6 M-Style
The Class 6 M-Style SmartMotor lineup includes EtherCAT® (EEC option), PROFINET® (EPN option), and EtherNet/IP™ (EIP option) versions. These motors are designed for maximum performance and connectivity. They incorporate a high-end, high-speed processor for exceptional performance, data update rates are as fast as 1 millisecond. There are dual industrial Ethernet ports onboard (no hub or switch required), as well as connections for RS-485 and USB. Additionally, they provide plenty of I/O, with the option to add more through an external expander, for easy integration into any system. The MT2 motors are fully IP sealed (IP65 or IP67 depending on options) for use in wet or washdown environments.Open seriesMoog Animatics series
Class 5 D-Style
The Class 5 SmartMotor™ is a highly programmable, fully integrated servo motor system that incorporates a motor, an encoder, an amplifier, a controller, serial communication, and IOs in one compact package. They also feature fieldbus communications options and optional Combitronic™ technology, which allows a network of SmartMotors to become one, giant parallel-processing system. All D-style SmartMotor™ have a primary RS-232 communications port, 7 channels 5V TTL non-isolated I/O, optional 10 channels expanded 24 VDC isolated I/O, dedicated encoder out, Combitronic communications option, fieldbus communication options, and much more. Class 5 S-Style
The fully-featured and integrated Class 5 S-Style SmartMotor™ with IP65 protection* is available in frame sizes NEMA 23 and 34. These SmartMotor products come equipped with industry-standard M connectors, as well as an optional brake. The S-Style SmartMotor servos share many of the same components as the Class 5 D-style motors, which don‘t have IP protection. This significantly reduces production costs and sales prices, resulting in an excellent price-performance ratio. *The motor shaft is not sealed and must be mated to a sealed surface or mounted in a shaft-down orientation.Open seriesMoog Animatics series
Class 5 LTR
The Moog Animatics Low Temperature Range (LTR) SmartMotor™ is available in a standard NEMA 23 frame size, model SM23165M-LTR (the “LTR-23”). This motor has been engineered for robust and reliable operation in extremely frigid environments and at high altitudes. An onboard internal heater ensures start up in temperatures below -40°C and IP62/67 sealing is included (rating depends on the model selected) protects the motors from condensation.Open seriesOfficial documentation
